Here’s What’s Happening!

I used to think I was weird because I was so sensitive to things and people around me.  I thought something was wrong with me.

At times I would think, “why can’t I say what I need to say without crying or getting emotional?” Or, “what in the world am I giggling for or feeling all these butterflies in my stomach just because I want to say something?” Or the craziest of all, “why does this person make me feel overly protective over this other person,” or “wow! this person makes me feel excited and nervous when I am around them.”

I have learned that I am a somewhat highly sensitive person. But more to the point, an empath (actually an empath with highly sensitive person inclinations), if you will, and to me, that is weird yet strangely a relief to know.

I know many do not believe in the word and what it stands for and much less what that means about the person that is supposedly this “thing.” Believe me, I have tried to deny it for a very long time because I felt it put me in a vulnerable place, even more than just feeling it all. Now I am putting myself out there as having that ability and being looked at as weird, odd, and a bit out there.

I now realize it is a gift that was given to me and if I trust it, I can learn from it and help others with it.

No, I am not some great person and I will never see myself as being special (I never have), but I do know I was given my many special creative gifts for a reason.

I have decided it is now time to put my gifts to better use.  Yes, I am singing when I can.  Yes, I am writing a lot.  But, now I will put both my voice and writing together and I will be starting a podcast in a few weeks.  It will be centered around positivity.  Positivity, motivation, and inspiration from people and things in this world of ours.

There is too much anger, hatred, selfishness, and childish acts of harm in this world.  It is time to get more love, positivity, and hope back into it.  Even if it is just a little at a time.  I am going to do my part, and put my little bit back into it, one week at a time with my podcast. Then along with that, continue throughout with content on my blog and all social media sites.

I know it will not be for everyone.  But I will be here trying to shine a little bit of light on the world.  I will be here to share and to listen.  If I ever do not have an answer for a question asked, I will find someone that does and point you in that direction.  If there is a subject or a person you would like me to cover, please let me know.  I welcome suggestions.  Now, I will not always take the suggestions, but will always welcome them.

I am but a small account right now.  One small voice in the many billions out there.  But, I will do my best and my part to help in some way with my voice and learning that I share.  For that is what, and all, I have to offer right now.

So, in a week or two I will share the name and art of my podcast to look for and then in a couple of weeks, I will be giving you the information you will need for my podcasts, the places you can find it and the other social media sites as well.

Right now, I am on twitter (@WonderingBelles) and Instagram (wonderingbelle or Belle Scribe) and I will put the information there as well.

I am excited and nervous about this new adventure.  I know it is the right thing to do and share.

I hope you will join me, enjoy the experiences, and share with others.  I love you all and look forward to your input and feedback once it all gets started! 🙂

Make Someone’s Day

*Pixabay

You want to make someone’s day today? If you are out and about today, for I know many places are opening back up, think of something nice about each person you pass or come in contact with. Even better, tell them! 🙂  Or, if you still are not going out, but are on social media, tell someone on your social media.

Now how did that make you feel? Make your day by making someone else’s day better.

There is too much negativity in the world today.  People are dealing with depression, anxiety, loneliness, and who knows what else.  If we can just make a difference by making someone smile or feel better about themselves, even if only briefly, you never know how that might turn someone around to looking at things a little differently, a little better.

It always does my heart good to get a smile or a response of thanks for just a simple nice comment.  I normally do it just because I see something about that person I like so I want to say it. Their eyes, hair, clothes, shoes, the way they carry themselves or smile.  Anything!

Have a great day and share the love whenever you can 🙂

Thought Of The Day

Thought for the Day

*Quote by Robyn Conley Downs

**Picture by me on one of my daily walks 🙂

My thought for today is to find the strength you need to share your message.  There are people out there that need to hear what you have to share, for they are going through what you have gone through and need to know they are not alone.  So, have the courage to speak up.  You have those that care for you and know your story.  They are behind you showing their support so that you can help others.

I know this is easier said than done at times.  Boy, do I know this! But to share is to help others and it gives great joy to be able to do this.

Have a great day!

A New Find

Like so many people during this Covid-19 coronavirus isolation time, I have made myself busy by finding things to keep me occupied while staying at home.  Pretty funny that one thing I found was TikTok. Yes, TikTok! I know. You are thinking one of two things, most likely.  Wait, I thought that was for young people dancing.  Or… yep, that’s me. I am hooked, addicted, and can’t get away from it.

I find it is a great place to go for positivity and making you happy.  Although there are many on there that share their darker side too when they are depressed or anxious.  And there are people that lift them up and give them positivity in their comments.  That being said, there are several true therapists on the site giving great advice as well.

So within a few days of being on this fun app, I had this one person coming up on my FYP (Stands for For You Page) over and over again.  I believe the first videos that really caught my attention was him diving onto the snow and sliding on his stomach saying he cracked a rib!  Haha! His name is JT Laybourne.  I was impressed with that smile and how there were so many people that were following him and doing “duets” with him on his videos.

I then went to his page and scrolled through his posts and saw the things he shared and things he said that were so positive.  I thought, Dang! This is my kind of people! So I started following him.  I also saw this beautiful lady that was with him in several and saw that she is his wife Brooklyn.  So I started following her too.

The Inspiration

Now, as I followed them and saw their video posts I found other folks like them to follow.  I also saw a lot of the hashtags on these posts were about #positivity, #thejtway, and #justthink. I then went back to his bio and saw that he has a website called Just Think (https://thejtway.com), and as you see, the link has “thejtway” in it.

He has said many inspiring things but the thing JT has said in a few of his videos that stuck with me is, “Just think what one smile can do. Be you, be real, have fun.”

I had to check this out and when I did I found a great “My Why” page that explains how it all got started.

In a nutshell, he states that he was tired of all the negativity and putting down that he saw on social media.  He found the TikTok venue and decided he would start a new social media account for himself there where he did not care what others thought and he would do what he wanted to, be it silly, goofy, whatever, but to just have fun.  He received such wonderful feedback about his positivity, confidence, and smile.  One thing you always saw in his videos is, in the background, his wall of hats he collects.  He started having people asking if he would give away his hats.  He said the way he would do this is to hide them in his area, which then spread to him sending them to other followers to hide, with his smile logo on the box to make other people smile.  He stopped when he was almost out of hats.  People didn’t want it to stop, so he started receiving hats from others as well as approached by a distributor.  He eventually gave in and started selling hats and shirts but he would only do it at a low price people could afford.  But with this guy, there was always a need to continue the movement of making people smile and feel good about themselves, and not overshadowing that with the sale of merchandise.

**By the way, I have also bought a few things and am very excited that my box is on its way soon!! 🙂

Even More Positivity

While enjoying getting to know the people on this site, sharing TikToks and having fun, I see a video a little over a week ago that JT is sharing with everyone.  He has been told by his doctor that he needs to have bypass surgery and because it is in the middle of this coronavirus pandemic he will have to go in by himself without Brooklyn by his side.  My heart sank knowing the impact that can play on someone, no matter how positive you are.

Once his followers found out and saw this, the outpouring of love that started flowing on TikTok was absolutely amazing!  In just a couple of days, JT has another video, sharing emotionally how grateful he is to his followers and TikTok family for all the support.  Because of the strength in love he was shown, he decided to go through with the surgery now and not wait.

In the week that follows it is an emotional rollercoaster ride for JT and his family, as you can imagine.  And bless his heart, he and Brooklyn share it all on TikTok with everyone.  This is JT.  From the morning he goes into the hospital on his own leaving his family behind, to the updates from Brooklyn and his very close friend Shawn Taylor, to the constant love they are shown by their followers and family. It just makes your heart swell with all the feels! To be a part of it all is just amazing.

*Today JT made a TikTok showing everyone his gratitude for all the love being shown to him and his family.  Not long after that, another one is shown, from a family member, of him in his hospital gown dancing!  Nothing stops him!

What Are Your Top 5 Interests

Thoughts

So, as I sit here in the solitude that is my life right now, along with everyone out there, I am pondering on content and what others might want to see and are interested in.  I decided I would ask you, my lovely followers (although not many right now, I know), these questions:

What are your top 5 interests that you would like to see on social media or on the web? What piques your interest right now? What are you continuously interested in?

I want to know and maybe others would like to know with me.

I have the equipment and I have a voice, so why not start a podcast? I mean, I feel I am here to give positivity and helpful information to those around me and far away. So, I would really like to know what everyone is interested in.  I have asked several folks I trust to give me their input on what they believe my unique abilities are and what I might know about more than others that I can share.  I have had some great feedback!

Thinking about this is why I have come to the point where I would like to know what you are interested in. Could it be music, writing, positive things in life, ways to get through each day, or so many other things?

Please, let me know your top 5 intests! I am really interested to know!! 😉

I am looking forward to your input!
